A Breakfast Recipe for a Healthy Life

Eating healthy can be done simply and deliciously. Children and adults alike will find this recipe for a healthy breakfast delicious.

I created this recipe and it has become my favorite one for a breakfast that will start off the day right:

Berry Delicious Breakfast
Serves: 1 person
Items should be Organic in order to get the full benefit of the nutrients.

1 Cup Mixed Berries
4 Tablespoons Granola
3 Tablespoons Flax Seed Meal
2 Tablespoons finely chopped walnuts
3 Tablespoons Sesame Oil
2 Tablespoons Cottage Cheese
Honey from a local source can be added to taste.

Mix thoroughly. Enjoy.

Here's the health benefits and where to find the items for the recipe:

Fruit, especially berries, are chock full of antioxidants which have disease fighting nutrients and help repair the damage caused by stress. A simple way to save money and get your berries year round is to visit Costco as you can get it wholesale if you are a member. In the freezer section there is an organic three berry mix. Also, another idea to have a constant supply is to stock up on assorted berries when in season and freeze some while enjoying the rest.

Granola is a delicious way to get fiber in your diet along with oats which help make a healthy heart. You can find organic granola in your local health food store.

Flax Seed Meal has a huge amount of nutrients with minerals, vitamins, fiber, antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids. Flax seed meal can be found in most any grocery or health food store.

Walnuts are not only delicious and available year round but are also filled with omega-3 fatty acids, have anti-inflammatory benefits, are good for cardiovascular health, helps the immune system plus has more benefits. Organically grown is best and can be found in your local health food store.

Sesame Seeds are chock full of health benefits including minerals, vitamins, calcium and contains a huge amount of more benefits. Use cold pressed sesame oil in this recipe as it will give you a more concentrated amount of the nutrients. Cold Pressed Sesame Oil can be found at most grocery stores, at oriental grocery stores and at health food stores.

Cottage cheese - high in calcium and protein while low in fat.

Honey from your local area is created by the bees from the local plants and helps to build your immune system against allergens. Can be found in your local health food store and sometimes found in your local grocery store.
