A Review of Benefit Cosmetics

I wrote an email to a California make-up company regarding a purchase I made a little over a month ago. I ordered and received three things. I wrote to them because out of the order I had tried one of the products and it was terribly substandard. The make-up was hard and clumpy as it evacuated the cute little container it was packaged in. I am not sure what type of response I expected but a generic "you are past your 30 days" was not one of them.

Had I had my heart set on this make-up I might have, being so terribly disappointed, gotten in touch with them sooner. However, the primary reason for my order was to purchase an eye make-up (cover up those under eye bags) for my sister. I was only able to give that to her last week. Boy are we past that 30 days now!

And the last item in the order was a weird lip definer that I purchased. The make-up itself was fine. It was a pout shaper and I have to say one of the silliest things I have ever purchased. However, the quality was good. This line is great when it comes to fun make-up.

What this company is telling its customers however is: HURRY UP AND USE WHAT YOU BUY! So, to Benefit Cosmetics: If your product is substandard on January 29...it is substandard March 5. Take a note from the big boys and create a better customer relations procedure. In this day and age, just to say 30+ days later "oh well" isn't good enough. This is a company who does not stand behind their products. Tsk tsk, what a shame.
