About Reiki Reiki (pronounced RayKee) means Universal Lifeforce or Energy and is the Energetic Lifeforce that vibrates through all of us and Everything that ever was, is or will be. Reiki is in all of us and around us all the time.
A Reiki practitioner is not a healer but a channeler of Reiki to the subject and a source of assistance to the subject to open to receiving the Reiki Energy which in turn assists them to heal themselves. In order for Reiki to work effectively you must have the intention that you want to heal.
Reiki Energy is non-intrusive and harmless. There is no known record of Reiki ever harming anyone and all Practitioners channel Reiki with the intention of it "Being for the Higher Good". In other words Reiki will only do "good" and not harm.
Reiki works by balancing your bodies Energy Fields or Chakras which enables the body to concentrate on the healing process. Reiki also assists the body to speed the healing process along.
All ailments are benefitted by Reiki in a truly Holisitic sense as emotional and spiritual issues as well as the physical illnesses are healed in the Reiki process.
Distance Healing or Treatments
Reiki, being an energy force knows no boundaries like the manmade concept of time and therefore distance is no object either. When receiving a normal one to one treatment in person the subject may request no contact as opposed to the normal "hand-on" treatment. This has no detrimental effect on the treatment even though no physical contact is made and a Distance Treatment is simply an extension of the no contact system provided the practitioner has completed the 2nd degree.
Receiving a Distance Treatment
Receiving a distant treatment is simplicity itself. All that is required of the subject is to drink some water, wash the hands and sit quietly as in meditation and let it happen. Afterwards drink some more water, wash the hands once more and that's it. The distant treatments I "do" are treatments where I hold the names and locations in my mind and project the Reiki directly to them. No individual gets "more Reiki" than any other, just what the individual requires. If you forget, it doesn't matter, you'll receive it anyway should you require it and I do intend the Reiki to heal this Planet Earth if recipients don't need/want it.
