Pity the poor, wretched, timid, soul who is too fainthearted to resist his oppressors. They think "I can't fight back,I have too much to lose. I own too much or they'll put me out of business." Too many of us have misplaced values and are hiding behind pretended family responsibility, blindly refusng to see that the most glorious legacy that one can bequeath to posteriy is Liberty, and that the only true security is in liberty. We must give up the idea that we can't fight back.
As Americans, we are the recipients of a wonderful heritage, unique in the world, which is being increasingly threatened. The founding fathers of this American experience were extemely smart, knowledeable, gifted people. They wanted to construct a nation which would not have the same problems they had fled in England.
They believed that first and foremost, they were granted certain rights by their creator which were "unalienable", that at birth, God gave man all of the rights.
The Federal and state governments did not have, and still do not have any powers which have not been granted to them by the people, themselves. The governents, no matter how much they want to, do not have the legal power to reach out and take powers which have not been assigned to them by the people.
I have attempted to retalliate in a lot of ways with the government interfereing with our constitutional rights. I get down right mad. But, I am only one person. As Americans of this wonderful heritage, we all need to start paying closer attention to what, we aren't even noticing, that is being taken away from us and our beloved generations to come.
I have come across the following that every American Citizen should read, and then read again.
A VISITOR FROM THE PAST
"I had a dream the other night I didn't understand.
A figure walking through the mist with flintlock in his hand.
His clothes were torn and dirty as he stood there by my bed.
He took off his three-cornered hat and speaking low, he said,
We fought a revolution to secure our liberty.
We wrote a Constitution as a shield from tyranny.
For future generations this legacy we gavein this land of the free and the home of the brave.
The liberty we secured for we hoped you'd always keep.
But tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep.
Your freedom gone, your courage lost, you're no more than a slave
in this land of the free and the home of the brave.
You buy permits to travel and permits to own a gun
permits to start a business or build a place for one.
On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent,
although you have no voice is say how the money's spent.
Your children must attend a school that doesn't educate.
Your Chrisian values can't be aught according to the state.
You read about the current news in the regulated press,
and you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS.
Your money is no lolnger made of silver or of gold.
You trade your welfae for paper so you life can be controlled.
You pay from crimes that make this nation turn from God in shame.
You've taken Satan's number and traded in your name.
You've given government control to those who'll do you harm
so they can padlock churches and steal the famaily farm,
and keep our country deep in debt, put men of God in jail, harass your fellow countrymenhile corrupted courts prevail.
Your public servant do not uphold the solemn oath they've sworn.
Your daughters visit doctors so their children won't be born.
Your leaders ship artillery and guns to foreign shores,
and send your sons to slaughter fighting other peoples wars.
Can you regain the freedom for which we fought and died,
or don't you have the courage to stand with faith and pride.
Are there no more values for which you'll fight to save,
or do you wish your children to live in fear and be a slave?
Sons of the republic, arise, and take stand!
Defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the Land.
Preserve our great Republic and each God-Given Right,
and pray to God to keep the torch Freedom burning bright.
As I awoke he vanished into the mist from which he came. His words were right! We are not Free! We have ourselves to blame! For, even now as tyrants trample each God-Given Right, we only watch and tremble, too afraid to stand and fight! If he stood beside your bedstead in a dream while you're asleep, and wondered what became of the rights he fought to keep, what would be your answer if he called out from the grave--
