One of the most common mistakes newbie online business owners make is spending WAY too much time focusing on the look & feel of their websites, without thinking much beyond that. I can say this because I was one of those newbies once, and made exactly the same mistakes.
The truth is that, whilst visually appealing, pretty graphics and colours do not sell!
That's not to say that you shouldn't make your website look professional and clean.
But your primary focus if you want to make money online must be how to position your content to make sales.
I repeat. Content sells, not graphics.
Think about who your customer is and the message you want to send them.
Research the keywords that you want people to find you with in the search engines.
Think about how you can use your website to develop a relationship with your customers, and ultimately turn them into 'loyal' customers.
Only then are you in business.
