BANS Does Work On GoDaddy
For those of you that use BANS to promote eBay products then don't go switching from GoDaddy just yet. Despite what everyone tells you it DOES work with GoDaddy servers. GoDaddy has one of the cheapest hosting packages around: you can host multiple sites with one cheap account, click for details So don't switch to HostGator because BANS suggests it. The main argument is that BANS doesn't work right out of the box with GoDaddy. That is true but it takes literally 5 seconds to rectify. You will need FTP access (or use the web based FTP program in GoDaddy's Hosting Panel) and download the .htaccess file that gets created for you. Open .htacess in a text editor and add the following lines to the top:
Options +FollowSymLinks -multiviews
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase / Now enjoy your BANS with your low low priced GoDaddy hosting! Or just scrap the one country catering BANS altogether and opt for an easier-to-use, multi-country catering solution such as this. :D |
