Thought this would be good to try out the new dossier feature. Hopefully it will append to one of same name I just reviewed. BBQ Pizza!
This is the best way you'll ever find to cook your pizza. We tried it once a couple years ago and now we'll never go back.
Roll out your dough nice and thin. Pre-heat your BBQ nice and hot (450F). Once it's hot, cook the dough on one side only. This will only take 1-2 minutes. Cook it directly on the grill, don't worry about it sagging through- it won't.
Once cooked, take the shell off and turn it over. Load up the cooked side with sauce, cheese, and all your favorite toppings.
Turn all burners but one down on low (or pull briquettes to one side). Put your pizza on the low side (away from direct heat) and cook to your satisfaction. Enjoy!
Extra tips:
This is a great way to cook individual pizzas, letting everyone put their own toppings on and cook their own. Fun for a small party.
For extra flavor, add minced garlic and basil to the dough before mixing. Tastes great!
Leftovers can be frozen and saved for later.
Great topped with just garlic butter and parmigiano reggiano.
