Best-tasting Low Fat Ice Cream Sandwiches Since I've made lifestyle changes to my diet, I've been looking for great tasting low calorie, low fat foods. Recently I tried the Skinny Cow and the Breyer's Double Churn Light ice cream sandwiches to see which I preferred. Breyer's Double Churn Light are packaged with 3 light vanilla and 3 light cookies and cream sandwiches. Each is individually wrapped. Each is 140 calories and has 1.5 grams total fat. The package is typically on sale for $3 at our local Kroger grocery store. Skinny Cow are 6 vanilla light ice cream sandwiches in a plastic tray. They are not individually wrapped, but the tray is reclosable. Each is also 140 calories with 1.5 grams total fat. These packages are also usually $3 at our local grocery store. The winner for best taste definitely goes to Breyer's. The light, double churned ice cream is deliciously smooth and creamy and doesn't taste low fat at all. My whole family enjoys them and eats them as either after-school snacks or dessert after dinner.
