Buffy The Vampire TV Series Anniversary For all of us Buffy fans out there - March 10th is the day to celebrate the anniversary of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series premier. The TV show launched in 1997 on the WB. The show took the premise of the earlier movie by the same name and turned it into a long running TV series. Sarah Michelle Geller portrayed Buffy a teenager who was also one of the chosen vampire slayers for a mix of teen drama and the supernatural. The series ended in 2003, but there are still those of us out there checking TV listings to catch the re-runs.
