Camping, Lake Huron, Ontario, Inverhuron Prov. Pk.
Inverhuron was always one of our favorite camping spots many years ago. It is north of Goderich and just north of the tourist Town of Kincardine. There are usually activities here in Summer. After being closed for camping for several years it reopened in 2005. This was because the huge power plant was built here but now has been closed. There are many wind turbines in this area now and all this is interesting to see as well. We always loved the great sandy beach and level camping areas just a short walk away. It will be expanded in the near future for more campsites and more activity buildings, etc. Another side trip would be to Port Elgin just north. Both of these nearby Towns have Harbors with lots of boats and nice sand beaches as well. Being on the west of Lake Huron you will enjoy the fabulous sunsets over the Lake.
