Do-it-yourself wedding invitations
Getting the perfect invitation is a fun way to start off your wedding on the right track. Your invitation choice will set the mood for the entire event so you want to make them fantastic. Here are some tips to success! 1)Decide what your theme is. Modern, Traditional, Off-Beat, Classic. You'll want the invitaitons to match the event. If you're having an outdoor BBQ wedding don't use white parchment paper and a quill pen. 2)Once you select your theme, decide who is going to be in charge. You will want to find a person you trust who will follow your wishes on theme, wording and delivery. There is nothing worse then some slacker who mails out 150 invitations 10 days late. 3) Use custom postage stamps from Zazzle. There are 1000's of designs or you can create you own. This really adds a beautiful touch. 4)Decide what to include in the invitation. Having an extra card with the reception information is ideal but expensive. If you are on a limited budget consisder putting the reception information on the main card. It's better to have a quality invitation with less bells & whistles. 5)Have fun. Create cards that are an extension of your personality. Traditional invitations are fine but don't be afraid to try something new. This is your wedding, give your guests something to remember it by. |
