Edible Playdough (Peanut Butter Candy)

Are you tired of the mess of playdough? Do your kids keep trying to eat it? Would you like all the fun of Playdoh with the great taste of Peanut Butter Candy. It's a real simple recipe that taste's great, leaves litte mess and let's the kids have fun.

Things You’ll Need:
Peanut Butter - preferably Creamy
Honey (preferred) or Syrup
Powdered Milk or Oats
Small bowl to mix ingrediants

From the ingredients you can guess this is easy to make. However, for the first time you make it I'd suggest an adult take charge to get a feel for the right portion of ingredients. Another warning as honey or syrup is being added to the mix it can get a little messy so try an use the squeeze bottles as much as possible. I've also found that humidity can cause a difference inconsistency for example when I was living on the equator I found that Milk was needed vs. Powdered Milk.

Before starting figure out how much Edible Playdough your going to need. Rule of thumb 3 tablespoons of peanut butter equals 1 serving.

Scoop out 3 tablespoons or what looks like 3 tablespoons and throw it into your small bowl (for one serving). Nothing better than a nice glob of Peanut Butter sorry to anyone allergic too it). Make sure you get all of it off the spoon.

Next add either honey (preferred) or syrup. I usually add about 2 teaspoons for one serving, but everyone's taste buds vary. You can skip this step, but most kids like that sweet taste, well and adults. At this point it helps to stir up the sticky mess.

Next add Powdered Milk (preferred) or Oats usually about 8 teaspoons. Depending on your choice of ingredients you may need to add more, just keep adding until it's no longer a sticky mess. If you add too much you'll find the consistency is to hard for edible playdough, easy to fix just add more honey or sryup.

That's it you are done. Have some fun with Edible Playdough and when your done just clean up by eating it. The greatest part of edible playdough the kids can make it themselves with minimal adult supervision. I've found it works with kids as young as 4 and well I still make it sometimes, let's just say I'm in the older range.

Tips & Warnings
> Keep an eye on the amount of honey or syrup used. Peanut Butter is already pretty sweet.
> Check where the kids are making Edible Playdough the creation process can make a mess.
> If a mess is no big deal skip the bowl and let the kids mix it by just laying down some wax paper.
> Please check if the kids have any allergies to peanuts.

Contributor's Note

This is just a wide ranging tidbit that I grew up with. In my free time. In my free time (lol) I work with my web sites and write articles on cisa books, jewlery, cism books, domaining and others. Looks this will be one more hobby.
