Fleas

Surviving in a variety of climates and environments, flea fossils date back around 100 million years. In the USA, there are about 200 different types of fleas. The most common of these is the cat flea. Oddly enough, the most common flea found on your dog is a cat flea. The cat flea is one of the most common causes of tape worm. Because fleas are known disease carriers, it is of great importance to keep fleas away from your pets. Use a vet and breeder approved topical flea treatment once a month to help control these pests.
