Gastric Bypass Surgery

The first thing which I do not think really works is the short visit with a psychology counselor because in many cases they can be manipulated into agreeing that one is a good candidate for this surgery and that one is doing it for the right reasons. I.e. health, desire to become healthy, change eating habits, live longer and the list goes on.

But what they miss and we miss is for the most part those are not the deep real reasons that people contemplate this surgery. I think that for the most part it is for the wrong reasons such as, look better, will improve my love life, it will make me more attractive, the opposite sex will be more attracted to me, or I won’t experience rejection anymore. Well of course those are not all the wrong reasons but I think they are the deep seated real reasons we do this.

The reason I say those are all the wrong reasons is because there is no surgery or anything else that is the magic cure for those things we all wish for. Rejection is a fact of life and it happens, there is nothing one can do to keep it from happening, attracting another really comes from within I think and before you can show that inner beauty of who you are is to first love yourself, know that if someone rejects you that it is their loss not yours because you know you have a beautiful heart and soul. What is really attractive about another person is who they are inside, how they perceive themselves, a strength of knowing “Hey you know, you don’t know what you are missing! I don’t need someone to Make Me Happy, I am happy!”

Bitterness because life has made it tough on you for one reason or the other, will never make one more attractive to another, negative thoughts, actions, self doubt, lack of self esteem and the list of negatives goes on will not make you attractive to anyone else. Is it easy to put all of that aside? Heck no it isn’t, negative thoughts are the easiest thoughts to have because they do not take any work, but with practice this can be overcome by working on the positive thoughts. Don’t look for reasons something won’t happen, can’t be done. Look for the reasons it can be done, it can happen.

If this helps anyone I am happy, I think the real thing here is to often we really give others permission to make us feel bad about ourselves, and as soon as we stop letting them have that control we will be better off.
