Handcrafted Cards by Sue- About me
My name is Sue Richardson, and I am the Owner/Designer of Handcrafted Cards by Sue©. I am 30 years old, and have been crafting in one form or other since childhood. At 10 years old I was rugmaking and had been enjoying drawing for a while, Since then I had Knitted, Crocheted, Crosstiched, Glass Painted, Made Candles and some Jewellery. Most recently Papercrafting has dominated my time, and has for the last 5 years. I have no set style, and like to try new things. I also work Fulltime as a Civil Servant, and yes, I did have to sign the Official Secrets Act! I have had this job for over 8 years now, and still enjoy it most of the time. It certainly wasn't my first choice of Career, I originally wanted to join the Police force like my Dad, but by 14 I decided it was too dangerous to be a Police Officer. I enjoyed school (gasp!) and after recieving my exam results, I went onto college to study A levels in English Literature, Law and Sociology. Since college I have experienced a variety of different jobs varying from A Hospital Domestic to Barmaid. I finally settled in my Current Job. I craft from two locations, My Home, where I store stock and do most of my web work. At My long term Boyfriends I also have a Craft Room, where the majority of my crafting is done. I have no Children, but am a very proud Auntie to my Neice Bryony-May. I also have no pets, although my Boyfriend has a Beautiful Cat called Cleopatra, and she is very clever and playful despite her advanced years. Life is very busy nowdays, but very full, which is great. My crafting is a great stress and tension releaser, and I love getting stuck into a project when I come in from work, and at weekends.
