Highest Gas Prices Recorded The cost of regular Exxon gas today in Louisiana was $3.03 per gallon which is very expensive. I filled up my car and it cost me around $58! I have never seen it this high. The middle range gas was $3.13 a gallon. I did not notice the cost of the premium gas. A year ago the gas was seventy-five cents to a dollar cheaper. Gas prices are still on the rise here.
