How Much Integrity Does Each Presidential Candidate Really Have?

Almost all politicians claim to have integrity, ethics and positive character. They get away with this because most people don’t know how to evaluate these traits.

There are ten key non-partisan dimensions of politician integrity that appear to be important to consider:

INTEGRITY FACTOR #1: AUTHENTICITY
How real, genuine and transparent a person is this politician?

INTEGRITY FACTOR #2: ACCOUNTABILITY
In what ways does this politician embody accountability and require it from others?

INTEGRITY FACTOR #3: LIFE BALANCE
How well does this politician balance legitimate self-care needs, responsibilities to his/her family and being a leader?

INTEGRITY FACTOR #4: TEACHABILITY
How deeply does this politician learn about the issues before taking a stand?

INTEGRITY FACTOR #5: VISION
How complete is this politician’s vision of democracy, above and beyond his/her own party’s platform?

INTEGRITY FACTOR #6: PROBLEM-SOLVING
How deep is this politician’s approach to problem-solving and solution-creation?

INTEGRITY FACTOR #7: FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY
How financially responsible is this politician?

INTEGRITY FACTOR #8: STEWARDSHIP
How adept is this politician at dealing with behaviors by government bureaucracies, special interest groups, businesses and other countries that harm collective highest good and/or threaten individual freedom?

How good is this politician at collaborating with others?

INTEGRITY FACTOR #10: COMMUNICATION
How good is this politician at educating citizens in a clear and complete way about the complexities, pros and cons, and trade-offs connected with specific issues, decisions and policies?

These ten key politician integrity dimensions are part of a new free tool for evaluating the integrity of the major US presidential candidates, called the Politician Integrity Rating Tool (PIRT).

Isn't it time that all of us became better at evaluating the personal, relationship, societal and leadership integrity or politicians?
