How to Post HTML in Blogs
If you've ever tried adding an example piece of HTML in a blog - or here - you'll know that it's a bit of a pain. Just copying and pasting the HTML tends to wind up with it being rendered, so you get a piece of gibberish, rather than the example code you were trying to post. A way around this is to encode it so that it isn't read as HTML, but displays correctly. Doing this manually is also a pain, so here are a couple of tools that do it for you: http://www.opinionatedgeek.com/DotNet/Tools/HTMLEncode/Encode.aspx http://formatmysourcecode.blogspot.com/ Simply paste your original HTML into the input box, click Encode or Format, then copy the results from the output box and paste into your blog. Much easier. |
