I am a pretty busy person and I have devised a really simple way to save over $50 per week on your grocery bill. My last grocery bill I had a savings of $55.15. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to save every week.
Step 1 - Getting Coupons. Unfortunately the Sunday newspaper in our area has very few. I get about 10 good ones per week. I get my coupons on ebay. There are a ton of people selling coupons. I get 100 coupons for about $1 to $3. I have gotten an excellent selection. I also use www.coupons.com for coupons you can print on the internet.
Step 2 - Getting your list together. I always shop at Giant Eagle. I get the circular in the mail on Tues. or Wed. I then go to www.mygrocerydeals.com They have an awesome free service. Every week they post the circular deals in an easy to search format by store and by brand. You can also print your grocery from their site.
Step 3 - Orgainize. Now comes the fun part. I enjoy doing this part. Get your coupon pile and go to www.mygrocerydeals.com and select "Skim by Brand". I only use coupons on items that are on sale. For example: This week at Giant Eagle Pop-Tarts are on sale for $10 for 5 boxes. I have 2 $.55 coupons which can be doubled. Now I am getting these 5 boxes of Pop Tarts for $7.80. That is an awesome deal.
Step 4 - Shop. I usually try to go to the grocery store early to avoid crowds. I sort my coupons by aisle and get to work. I usually only spend about 15 extra minutes in the store oragnizing my stuff. That is definately worth $50.
