HubPages What is It?
There is a bit of a buzz around the blogospere about HubPages recently - so what is HubPages? Hub Pages is another content based, revenue sharing website. What does that mean in English? It means that HubPages allows authors (hubbers as they call them) to sign up and publish webpages (hubs) for free. The tools are easy to use and allow authors to not only publish articles, put also to include images, links from youtube, RSS feeds, news feeds and Amazon and EBay capsules.
The revenue sharing is simple - 60% of time your codes are used and if someone clicks on Adsense or buys from EBay or Amazon then you get the revenue direct.
Advantages of HubPages for Internet Marketing
Google loves HubPages. New hubs are indexed very quickly - I have had pages indexed within a few hours even for competitive keywords.
Links on Hub Pages are FOLLOW so long as you maintain a minimum author score. This is pretty easy to manage so long as you write original material and participate at the site by posting comments on other people's articles and in the forums
Although many of the authors at Hub Pages aren't particularly SEO aware it is easy to get hints as to what are the hot topics to write about by keeping an eye on the "Requests" features where people can ask for hubs.
Disadvantages of HubPages for Internet Marketing
Hubpages has high standards: if you want to put up quick 100 word long articles or cut and paste material from wikipedia or where ever you won't last long before you are banded -play by the rules and they will play fair though. You don' control the placement or appearance of the Adsense ads - they use a service called yieldbuild to optiize the Adsense ads - though us humans do wonder sometimes
Adult themes are banned.
