Is Project Payday for you?

Project Payday Unbiased Review by J. Colby

Here I am again with another home based business that I tried a while back and after just coming across another ad for it, felt that I should shed some light on it and share my experiences.

Project Payday

I'm sure many of you who are on this page have come across it as a result of searching for home business or home based businesses or something of the like. And in doing so, you've probably seen ads of Project Payday, advertising that while you aren't going to get rich, you will make $2000-$5000 a month. Well, it definitely caught my attention during the time, so I clicked on it. The site offers two means of actually accessing their services. One if to flat out pay a $37 fee, which I sort of anticipated, but the other intrigued me. You could simply sign up for a sponsored offer and enter the system that way. I figured, hell, the offer was something about making money on Ebay, it only cost me a small shipping fee of about $4 and I simply canceled the subscription quite literally 5 minutes after, so in actuality it only cost me $4 to sign up for it; not bad.

Now, let me explain why Project Payday is not for everybody and certainly can't be considered a home based business. Project Payday is a network of people, not a system, who have learned the ins and outs of manipulating advertising offers to their profit. Let me explain:

Everybody out there has at one time or another seen or clicked on a banner ad flashing a free $500 Walmart card or a free 42inch Plasma Television or the like, and when you click on it you realize that you have to sign up for a few offers, placing your credit card on file with multiple companies. And even so, you still have to refer a certain amount of people who have to do the same thing in order to get credit for the site and receive the prize. Well, that's extremely tedious and boring and ridiculous, come to think of it. But, quite honestly, if you can do it, then it's actually quite profitable, because you've maybe spent about 10-20 in offers, in shipping fees or free trials (keep in mind that you will want to cancel these offers a couple of days before they end up charging you outlandish monthly costs) and you had to refer a few friends, but now you've got yourself a $500 spending spree or a free television.

This is a network of people who simply pay for referrals to complete those offers (because let's face it, you're closest friend isn't putting in their credit card with multiple companies just so YOU can reap the reward!) after completing the offers themselves; are you following me? Say for instance a company is giving out a $500 paypal gift certificate for completing say 4 offers and also referring 5 people to do the same. Well, now you complete the offers and YOU pay those 5 people, say $50 each in order to do the same... You got it? That means you're paying out $250 for people to complete the offers so that you can profit $500. It's actually quite brilliant, if I can give them credit myself.

But let me explain why it's certainly not for everybody and definitely not for me. I started completing offers galore and in one day, I did it for like 4 people and got paid about $40 for each of them, making about $160 in one days. But, in order to get that $160, I had to place my credit card on file with about 13 companies, and got charged about $35 in miscellaneous shipping fees and whatever. Now, you have to make spreadsheets in order to keep up with who you have to call and most importantly WHEN! Because the problem is, you can't just cancel the offer or trial a day after, otherwise you're flagged by the system and your profits have to be refunded. So, now for about a week, I'm scared to death that somebody is going to charge me some outrageous $150 subscription fee if I don't cancel in time or something like that.

Personally (don't tell anybody this), I just canceled out my credit card, because I was so paranoid that it was now on file to be readily charged by a million different companies. This is NOT a home business! It CAN be a way to make quick money if you're ready to take long hours completing offers, documenting them and canceling them within the appropriate time frame.

Overall, not for me. I personally believe that if you have the time and energy to dedicate to such a program, then you should be redirecting that time into a solid network marketing system that will yield long-term results rather than an extremely short term cash flow.
