Keeping foxtails out of you dog's ears

Foxtails are one of the leading causes of deafness in dogs.
If you live in an area where foxtails are a problem, try puting cotton balls in your dogs ears when you take them hunting or out for a run. Don't forget to remove them every day. If your dog gets a foxtail in his ear, you can usually float it out with baby-oil if you get to it soon enough.
