I have only just found out that the dog "lassie" wasn't actually a German shepherd as i had thought for a long time. She was in fact a Rough Collie. Hope this helps someone in a quiz as i found it rather surprising!...

Lassie is a dog. Lassie has golden fur. Lassie's owner is Timmy. Timmy lives with his happily married parents at the family farm. Timmy is a rambunctious youth that is always accidentally getting into trouble. For example, Timmy is usually getting trapped in wells.
