Lavender, Herb

Lavender is an important herb in both aromatherapy, and healing. It may be better know for it sweet smell as a garden plant than for it's healing properties.
Just a few of the things that lavender do:
Essential oil of Lavender is strongly antiseptic so it is uesful in healing burns and soothing sunburns, rubbed on insect stings and bites it relieves pain and inflammation.
Massaging a few drops into your temple can ease headaches.
A few drops in your bath can help ease muscle tension
and a few drops on your pillow can help ease you into a good nights sleep.Lavender Essential oil is a key ingredient in a basic care kit for the home.
Lavender flowers can be candied for use in decorating cakes and confections and the leaves can be substituted for Rosemary in chicken dishes.

Contributor's Note
I have found many used for lavender in aromatherapy, healing, and magick. It is one of the few essential oils that can be used neat.
