Living with Bipolar disorder
Bi-polar disorder is hard to live with. For one thing people can't see you have a problem. In fact, they think you are the problem. This is only part true. Bi-polar disorder, is a chemical imbalace in the brain which causes behavior to swing from manic, (Running around like you have had way too much coffee.), to depression. Mood swings are common. Fits of rage, turning to weeping and depression are not uncommon. It has been my experience, that most doctors are not real sure how to treat the disorder. There is no cure, but, it is treatable. Swings can last for days, weeks, or months. Diet and exercise and sleep, along with medication can help them lead a close to normal life. Like other illnesses, it has to be treated. It cannot be ignored. Someone with bi-polar disorder should seek medical attention. If you know someone has bi-polar disorder, it is a little easier to deal with.
