Lost Love Really Can Cause Broken Heart
Recent research has found that the death of a loved one or friend really can be in direct relationship with minor heart troubles. A couple of associated symptoms of ‘heart break’ include chest pain, shortness of breath, and fluid in the lungs. These troubles are fortunately not permanent, so people have no need to constantly worry about the affects death has had on them as far as their physical health goes. The worst case of heartbreak was a hospital visit, in which the case was completely reversible and the patient walked home not two days later. As its proper name is concerned, this broken heart syndrome is called stress cardiomyopathy. As Dr Hunter Champion explains it, by conducting various experiments and studies on the odd phenomena, doctors have prevented many people from getting unnecessary heart surgery. In fact, through some deep research, doctors at Johns Hopkins University have found that a day of adrenaline surge and stress hormones actually decreases your hearts ability to pump blood. The leading explanation is that the hormones actually contract the blood vessels, preventing the amount of blood to flow at one time. “This is probably something that people suffer all the time,” put Dr. Champion, even though they don’t know how or even that there is treatment. Dr. Daniel Shindler, director of the echocardiography agrees with Dr. Champion’s explanation, stating that more attention needs to be placed on the syndrome now, more than ever. So when you must suffer through the death of a loved one, it is always important to take deep breaths while trying as best as you can to relax. The emotional stress put on your mind does not need to punish your physical body just the same.
