Louis Steak House, Hong Kong After 13 years in Hong Kong I went to the Louis Steak House in Wanchai last night for the first time ever - and was impressed! It's a bit out of the way, with the entrance on Connaught Road, immediately behind Cinta-J - which is probably why I've never thought to go there before. The menu is primarily steak and seafood, although you can get some chicken and lamb dishes as well. The wine we had was excellent - an Australian Cabernet Sauvignon. The steak was extremely well prepared. I like mine well done and many steak houses don't like that. But there were no raised eyebrows and it was cooked to perfection. The service was quick and efficient and there was more space at and around the tables than almost any restaurant I've been to in Hong Kong. I've always liked the steaks at the Outback in Wanchai - but the meal we had last night was better. The prices are higher than the Outback prices - but not outrageous. All-in-all an excellent meal and I'll be returning before too long.
