Dieting?... come on now... I LIKE TO EAT!!!
However, to maintain some semblance of a healthy weight I must admit that I have on occassion (ok, perhaps a bit more than occasionally) found it necessary to succumb to the rigors of... dieting.
Frankly though I have yet to find a diet that could for me, become the lifestyle change that so many professionals recommend.
However, some I've tried are...
Count Calories... yeah right, I never was very good at math, especially where addition, subtraction and large numbers were involved. Also, like I said before... I like to eat...essentially taboo if counting calories.
Low Fat... Not toooooo bad but lets face it...FAT RULES!
C'mon now, we all know that "The Flavor Is In The Fat".
Though there are some halfway decent low fat recipies out there... I can't find enough for my tastes.
Low Carb... Hello Dr. Atkins and colleagues. I've probably had the most luck here however, I was quick to discover that though YES..I LIKE MEAT... I also like pasta, potato, bread and other "white" foods. Frankly though, this is where I turn most frequently for a tune up weight loss.
Liquid Diets/Meal Replacement Diets... I.E. SlimFast
Excuse me but not only am I starved and desiring something to chew on... I ate enough chalk in elementary school!
Nutrisystem, Jenny Craig and the Likes...
To be frank, not only have I not given them a fair shot, I have not even given them a try... right up front they appear a bit cost prohibitve to me.
Anyway, enough of my rambling. Suffice it to say that there certainly appears to be plenty of advice, a sufficient number of diet gurus and a voluminous selection of diet programs out there to last us all well into the next century.
Therefore I can only wish you luck and suggest that you do your research, find one that's healthy and workable and give it (one or more) a try.
Oh... and PS... If you find one that works AND allows you to eat...Please let me know!!
