Each and every year, the John Madden football franchise comes out with an updated game with updated features that mesmerize the audience. A huge part of the fun and excitement every year is the updated roster of players that the franchise is updated with. Imagine how exciting it is to play as your favorite player or to play with your favorite team and all the possibilities there are with the addition of the new players. This game has been elevated to a whole new level. It has gone from a top-view 2-dimensional game, to an extremely lifelike football simulation. Put this game on your TV, on a Sunday afternoon and you will think you are watching a live football game…just an awesome, life like experience.

Now, take John Madden ’09 for the Nintendo Wii and you will not only think it is an actual game, but you are actually playing, coaching and managing the game. Playing the game on the Wii puts you into the middle of the action.. Instead, you now have control on the throwing, running, play calling and coaching. How awesome is that! The Wii controller senses your motion and will move the players in the same direction. You are the quarterback, the rusher, and the receiver. In fact you are even the kickers. No video game has ever brought you into the action like the Madden ’09 for the Nintedo Wii.

Besides the amazing benefit of playing the game on the Wii, Madden ’09 has several new features not found on any of the other games. With this game you will be tested. But relax, no late not cramming for this test. This test is simply a test of your athletic or I should say you gaming skills in Madden. This test will check your abilities in several key areas. You will be tested on your rushing, passing, run defense, and pass defense abilities. The grade you get is a sort of handicap and is called your Madden IQ.

Your handicap or Madden IQ is then used to accommodate for you and your opponent during game play. Who ever you are playing against will be an equal skill wise to make the game closer and more interesting. It will allow someone with a very high Madden IQ to play with someone with a lower Madden IQ.

Madden ’09 for the Nintendo Wii is without question a great game to play. Its new game play features and graphics will amaze you. This game will give you hours and hours of gaming pleasure and will be a huge hit for any sports fan of any age. This is a great game for you and your friends or a father and son. I would advice against skipping this year and buying it next year, buy it now while the supply is available. Madden ’09 is by far the best one yet in the franchise.
