Make Money from your pictures

Many people would like to make money from their photos.Microstock is an easy answer.The way it works is that you upload your photos to a microstock agency and you are paid each time the picture is downloaded.The amount you get varies from company to company.
Colorful pictures are best and the subject should be simple and easily identifiable.
You will receive a percentage of the download fee (download fees average $2 to £3 a picture) So you have to get lots of downloads to make real money.
Keep distracting things out of the picture.
Even photos of simple household objects can make money.
To make serious money though you should shoot PEOPLE pictures.
This is what really makes money in microstock.There are accounts of people making over $25,000 a year by taking pictures of attractive people through microstock downloads.
Picture requirement vary from company to company by almost all microstock companies have a listing of the most downloaded pictures and you can see from that list just what you should be shooting.
There are a couple of things to beware of though - I would personally avoid any company that works on a subscription basis for the simple reason that unscrupulous people download thousands of pictures on their subscription,write them to a dvd and resell them as their own work !
The other problem is that by putting your pictures with a microstock company you pretty much exclude those pictures from being accepted by a regular stock agency (where you get paid per use at much higher rates)
