Marketing Your Internet Business

Perhaps you have started a fantastic new site on the internet. You've told family, friends and co-workers. You have implemented the latest SEO tactics, internet marketing techniques, built a list and have traffic arriving at your site.

So, why aren't you an instant millionaire?!

By actual statistics, it takes 5 to 12 contacts before a person will respond to an advertisement and it takes 100 – 1000 views of your website to get a person to act by signing up for the free service, joining the mailing list, or buying.

Tracking the statistics of one affiliate item that successfully sells time and again, it takes 432 views of the website sales page to get one sale. Per the information above that would mean it takes 2160 - 5184 contacts to get the 432 views to get one sale.

Now that you know what you are going for in the way of contacts and views in order to get sales, you can plan out your successful strategy to market your site. It is possible to attain the target.

Being an online business, you have the virtual world at your fingertips. You also have the real life world that you can reach out to using the old methods of tried and true marketing.

The "old" methods are direct mail marketing and flyers delivered door-to-door.

Direct mail marketing may be out of your budget because of the postage costs if you are just starting out.

Flyers delivered door-to-door are a simple matter in this day and age. If you have a computer, a graphics program and a printer you are in business.

A proven fact is that people hang onto door-to-door flyers for over 2 years!

You could create your own campaign, design your flyers with 3 or 4 on a single page and deliver in your local area 1000-5000 on a regular basis. Doing so will get you business for years to come.

In order to make your marketing less expensive and more cost efficient, you can get local businesses to advertise with you. Charge a per flyer rate of .07 or .08 cents. Doing so will pay for your printing charges of paper and ink.

And, to make your marketing super easy, hire someone to deliver the flyers for you. If you get other businesses to advertise with flyers, the person to deliver door-to-door would be paid for.

With a little bit of time and effort, you can use a time tested method to market your internet business with success.

I am not an expert marketer. I wrote this Intel from experience. The first time I utilized door-to-door flyers as a marketing method was with a roofing company. It was exciting to receive calls over two years after the flyer was delivered. I've used door-to-door flyers for every business afterwards - including internet based businesses - and it still works like a charm for effective marketing.
