Network Marketing Leads: Develop Your Own Marketing System

There are many systems that claim to generate network marketing leads for your MLM business. If you're involved in a network marketing business, you know the importance of leads to your success.

I've seen a lot of advertising about "turn-key" marketing systems that claim to do "all the work" for you, but I've found these claims to be misleading. The truth is there are some basic principles you must keep in mind before you spend any money buying a marketing "system."

Lead Generation Principle #1: Traffic

Traffic is the lifeblood of any Internet business. It's simple. But the fact is many people don't know what garners traffic, or what the "secret" is to building sustainable traffic to any website or blog.

The traffic principle is relevant focused content. Developing content that is focused on your topic is the only way to really generate organic search engine traffic. Sure there are SEO (search engine optimization) tricks that work for short periods of time, but the real measure of whether or not you get found on the search engines, like Google, is the content you develop for people who are looking for what you're offering.

If you're looking for traffic and don't want to wait the next best targeted way to generate targeted visitors to your website or blog is to advertise it using ad programs like Google's Adsense. Using programs like this you can buy targeted traffic that will convert well to leads and buyers as long as what you're offering matches what your visitors are looking for.

A word of caution: using targeted advertising programs, like Adsense, is a great way to generate traffic, but you need to be careful. Learn everything you can about using these programs first before you spend a lot of money. Scaling your advertising campaign this way will insure your only focus on keywords that convert to leads and sales.

Lead Generation Principle #2: Your visitors (Prospects)

If you're in an MLM business it's important to keep your prospects needs in mind. If your simply doing MLM to get rich you should really examine the motives behind what you're doing.

You have to have an angle where you truly offer you visitor what he or she wants or needs. If your network marketing company sells nutritional supplements that help relieve the pain of arthritis, it's important to target arthritis sufferers and give them quality information on how they can help relieve their pain, not get involved in your business. If your products are good, and the user feels the benefits he will be much more inclined to recommend them to a friend, or to look deeper into the business opportunity.

You are a solution provider, not only a recruiter. Keeping this fact at the top of your mind will help you stay focused on your visitors needs, not just your own.

Lead Generation Principle #3: Conversion

Turning cold Internet visitors into red-hot prospects is a reality when you develop your network marketing leads the right way using the right system.

What does this system look like?

It keeps all the principles of good business in mind while it allows your web visitors to "sell themselves" on why you are a good resource for them to consult with.

When you can meet your prospects needs through focused thought and insight to what you're offering them, the lead generation and sales process becomes a natural path for people to follow.

Always keeping other peoples' needs at the forefront of your mind, while creating your own valuable "pre-selling" lead generation funnel is the best way to generate and convert network marketing leads for your business, and develop yourself as an expert in your field.

Stay away from the talk about quick riches and easy schemes. People get hurt when you promise easy money. There's nothing "easy" about developing a network marketing leads funnel at the beginning. The easy part comes in the end when you've built the valuable resource for your business and you give it away to your targeted traffic.
