Newbies Beware!!!

Are you a newbie in internet marketing? I hope this article hasn’t come too late. Three sayings you are sure to hear on the internet with respect to marketing successfully are: the List is important, drive traffic to your site, build your downline; I’ll teach you everything you need to know to make it and prosper on the internet; and join for free and upgrade when you login to your account.

In many cases you pay your money to join and the promised help is not forthcoming. In some cases your upline has disappeared, of course after receiving your initial payment. And what about the ‘teaching’? You are referred to several e-books, or CDs, or you are subjected to several weeks of widely-spaced ‘lessons’ while all you want to do is make money on line after a few clear, intelligent pointers and some follow-up assistance until you get your feet wet. You are told to join as many ‘free’ Traffic Exchanges as possible, never mind you could only really benefit after upgrading; and never mind that by this time you would have already maxed out your credit card(s).

And have you noticed that all subscriptions are monthly, through one of the more popular international payment facilitators, and that even though you have not earned a dime, which they know, they still accept payment for a promised service which you are yet to receive?

And the ‘exclusive’ and ‘bonus’ leads some of them give you with your package or which you use your hard-earned money to purchase, stupid you, are still to respond to your emails or newsletters, or they abuse you on the telephone or by email, and of course you are left holding the baby—an empty bank account!

Don’t mistake me, they are not all like that, thank Heavens. I am fortunate to have come into contact with three sponsors who have all gone out on a limb with and for me. The irony is that I came in touch with these three gentlemen after I had drained my bank account, and can’t do all the things which I need to do, according to their advice, to make money on line. But what little I am able to accomplish is producing results.

My advice to you newbies is this. Thoroughly check out a programme before you put out your money; and if your sponsor is too busy to contact you regularly by telephone or internet before you commit, he/she would be too busy to work with you after you put in your money, which of course is residual income to him/her; and by the time you realize this the money back guaranteed period is over. And, YOU CAN'T MAKE IT ON THE INTERNET IN MARKETING WITHOUT HELP! So DON'T TRY TO GO IT ALONE!

Contributor's Note

This warning is given to all those persons who are newly come to the internet maketing scene. The above is a synopsis of my experience, to date, with internet markeing. We all want to make money, maybe not all become millionaires, but some of these marketers should stop the 'this will make you rich overnight schemes'. Only the Lotto could make you rich overnight.

Greetings!

I empathize with your frustration and recognize the reality behind your words! The one thing I've learned by living long enough to 'read between the lines' is NEVER jump into any opportunity that costs money that I can't afford to throw away [$0.01]! Networking and checking the background of companies and 'others' prior to joining their programs is the best way of doing any kind of business -- online or off!

Thanks for sharing and I'd love to hear more about the 3 gentlemen with the sound internet venture advice!

I'll be emailing you soon!

I agree, lead sellers are very hypey. And, I am sure there is much more money to be made selling leads, than being a hapless buyer of them. Some of my "hot" "fresh" leads were months old, some email addresses were minor children, and their parents were not happy with me! I think the question to ask lead sellers is: How is the lead generated? Did someone just forget to uncheck a box and got info they didn't want? Most leads I called claimed they had never requested anything. Paid leads: a complete waste of money. Learn to generate your own.
