Online Dating ~ Attracting what you want??
If there's one thing I've noticed in so many men's profiles on several of the online dating sites are the negative statements like "No head games" or "I'm not into head games," "No golddiggers," and similar request that are expressions of hurt and which reflect past dating experiences gone bad. I'm a huge believer in the "Law of Attraction" as it is taught in hundreds of online articles, books and seminars, and recently achieving mass recognition is "The Secret," and I draw on this technology greatly in my private coaching practice. A fundamental tenet of the "Law of Attraction" is that you get more of what you focus on, whether you want it or not. One consequence of this is that you have to learn to watch your language. For example, if you are frustrated by all the bills you get, saying "I am tired of getting so many bills" actually would attract more bills. Rather, you would focus on what you want more of: abundance, financial mastery, etc. With that being said, it is my assertion that the very statements like the ones listed above will create the exact opposite result: more of the same. And let's be clear, if someone is playing games, what better game is there to play than a game with someone who challenges him not to play it? So what's the solution? In my opinion, and based on the "Law of Attraction," use powerful attraction language in your online dating profile. Instead of "No head games," say "You are a (man/woman) who has integrity and honor in your relationships." Instead of "I don't want someone who won't treat me with respect," say "I seek a respectful and kind (man/woman)." I'm sure you have your own words to use, but I think you get the idea. Manifesting what you want in your life is a delicate matter. Sending out positive energy and positive affirming self statements will attract positive results.
