Optimizing Your Page Using Meta tags is extremely important when it comes to optimizing your page. Meta tags are embedded into your html code that tells the search engines what keywords you would like your page to be listed for. They look like this.
<meta name=”Keywords” content=”keyword, keyword, keyword”>
<meta name=”Description” content=”Page description”>
The page description doesn’t really have anything to do with SEO, but it’s a place for you to write your own little description for your page instead of having the search engine do it for you and it’s free.
Using the Title of the page is extremely influential as well. General rule of thumb would be to include one primary keyword and one secondary keyword in your title. For Example “Learn Affiliate Marketing and Internet Marketing With Us.” Affiliate Marketing and Internet Marketing are of course the keywords that you are targeting. Those should also be the keywords in your meta keywords tag.
A Heading often comes out looking awkward and not attractive. They are important though because they not online attract humans, but they attract crawlers as well. I order to place a headline you use the html tags < h1>all the way up to lt;6>. And don’t feel discourage if they come out looking very unattractive because you can adjust that just like you would any other font in your page.
If you are an established business already and are looking to simply increase your traffic than changing your URL shouldn’t be considered. If you do not have a URL already picked out than this is a great place for you to place keywords. Search engines love keywords in a websites URL.
And finally, your Sales Copy, or simply known as copy. Roughly the rule with keywords in your copy is about 3% or 4%. That means 3% or 4% of your copy should be your keywords. Or so they used to say. Go to Keyword Density to learn more.
