PLDT myDSL Xperience
I heard that the PLDT myDSL Xperience package that costs P999 per month gives you up to 1.0 Mbps. Well, my more than a year old P999 package only gives me up to 512 Kbps, and upon the advice of my friends, I decided to call PLDT myDSL's customer service. In my friends' experience, a simple phone call helped them boost their internet broadband speed. It was like flipping a switch, according to them. Unfortunately, my old DSL account is considered a "legacy account" by PLDT, which means the wires and the infrastructure are not ready for the faster package. In effect, I will continue to pay P999 monthly, but we still don't know when I'll get to experience a 1.0 Mbps internet broadband connection in my area.

It's very hard to describe the emotions running through me when I read posts like this. FYI I am currently on an intermittent 25kbps - 50kbps SmartBro connection which is actually the best connection I've ever had in the Philippines. 512kbps for me would be like winning the lottery - I'd probably lose my sanity for a few days until I get used to it.
PLDT was always good for me and I did like SmartBro also. When you live in the province, any conection is good. Lanie
