Poser has come a long long way. I remember using it for architectural visualization projects and storyboards for their quick-to-generate and easy-to-customize humans. That was Poser when it was in versions 3 and 4. Even at the time there was a group of Poser enthusiasts who used Poser to create interesting characters and projects. I remember there was a comic book produced using Poser characters and even a few porn shorts starring Poser characters circulating on the internet!

I think there are enough exciting features to make taking a look at the software worthwhile. At $499.99 USD it's not too expensive, considering the fact that it can save oodles of time creating and designing characters from scratch!
