For those of us who are budget conscious and still trying to promote, finding ways to do that effectively is getting harder each day. Many gurus pop up and tell us that they have the ultimate means to promote that will earn thousands. I won't argue whether or not they are lying or not. That is for you to decide on your own. What I can tell you is that a great deal of it is repackaged material that you can find on your own with some research.
With that being said, here are a few ideas that I have tried that seem to work, but takes some effort to do.
Forum marketing. These can be a great platform to build traffic with. It takes time and some patience. Posting to the high traffic forums can build traffic but the catch is you need to stay active in them. Posting a few times then quitting is not a good approach.
Classified Ads Sites. Posting ads here is not the waste of time many believe. If that were true,how did sites like craigslist get so popular? These are free sites that allow you to post ads and extend them for low costs. It is a great way to promote.
Paid To Click/Paid To Read Sites. These sites offer you the opportunity to earn money by clicking ads or reading e-mails. They also offer you an excellent platform for some low cost, and cost effective advertising. They gurantee you that your site or opportunity will be seen by unique vistors.
Viral Marketing. There are so many services that offer waysto promote via this incredible method that it cannot be listed here. Most of these services are free and merit looking in to. To take full advantage of them, one usually has to refer a number of people into the service to build your downline. Does it work? There are those that swear by this method.
Traffic Exchanges. This is not the wasteof time many think it is.It does require time put into surfing and referring others, but it does have the one advantage of delivering a constant flow of traffic to your site.
Search Engine submissions. This is your biggest promotional source to date. This requires some research into whcih search words you wish to use and optimizing your site some, but can be well worth it in the end. There are a number of services out there that claim to be the best in search engine submissions. The best approach to them is to research their services and effectiveness.
