Prosecutor and Prosecuted: Bedfellows Money has been causing strange bedfellows since the dawn of money-based civilizations. The latest in Indonesian long series of shameless corruptions is a case of one prosecutor got caught green-handed when receiving large sum of money from a woman in a shady taipan's house. The prosecutor is a part of a team investigating misuses of government loaned funds given to several near-bankrupt banks back then at 1998 when the financial crisis hits Indonesia big time (and Indonesia have never recovered from it till 2008). The shady taipan is an alleged fund misuser who was prosecuted but run to Japan and now stay at Singapore (where many shady taipans who steal Indonesia's government's money now resides). The woman is said to be a general treasurer of a political party in which many of its members are also member of the largest Islamic organization in Indonesia. The prosecutor said he was trading precious stones with the taipan. His boss said that none of his employee is allowed to do business. The taipan is one of the man close to the top man of the largest Islamic organization. The Islamic organization is saying that the woman is not their general treasurer, but its website says otherwise. That rancid smell attacking your senses are the smell of rotten corrupt politics.
