You have imprisoned your fitness results. You may not even be aware of it. But the way you think about exercise and nutrition and really everything else in your life determines the actions you take. And the actions you take determine the results you get. For example, did you ever look at a guy who was in excellent shape and think to yourself "He has great genetics. He's lucky." Or ladies did you ever look at another lady who is in excellent shape and think "She's so lucky. She can eat anything she wants and never gain weight."
I bet you have. We all have. But whether that other person has great genetics or just works harder at fitness than you do, really doesn't matter. What does matter is you are pre-excusing your own poor performance (results). You're establishing conditions that make it alright if you fail to meet your goals.
Expect Greatness
I want the best for you. You want the best for you. So start expecting the best. Monitor your thoughts and your speaking (outward expressions of your thoughts, right?). Watch for complaints. Watch for self-limiting thoughts. When you become aware of them, pause and re-frame those thoughts. Turn them around instead and declare what you want.
Visualize that result as though it is already true. Visualize it with as much detail and feeling as you can.
When you do this, you'll start taking the necessary actions to move in the direction of your goals. You'll find you have no limits other than the ones you give yourself.
Release your results and you will find that you too are a "Genetic Freak."
"Everything that happens in your life is moving you in the direction of your goals."
