Welcome back to the ‘ONE YEAR MILLIONAIRE‘. Sorry it has been a couple days since I last updated, I have been very very busy with a project I am running locally. Now lets get to business here ;) . Today I am going to be talking about E-Books and how they can make you some money. How to make money online, How to lose weight, How to do anything you set your mind to! -- These are all possible topics for books that you can sell online.
First thing you have to ask yourself is “What do I know a lot about that I can share information on?”. This can be literally almost anything, but obviously there are a lot of topics which will get much more sales because it is in higher demand. There are obviously a lot more people who are going to buy a tuxedo or even a track suit as opposed to say; a clown suit! Find out what people want to know about, and how many are willing to pay for that information.
Before you start any project, you always have to do your homework. Research is one of the most important steps in any successful business. Even if it takes a lot of time and work, it will be worth it. You don’t want to spend thousands of dollars on a product launch and then find out that it can’t sell because no one wants or needs it!
One of the reasons that I am talking about E-Books is actually because I believe it is one of the best ways to make money online in my own opinion. Here is a quick step by step to get you started:
1. Ideas
Before you start jumping into the pool of online sales you are going to want to have fresh ideas or at the least; something that has been tried and tested that is known to sell! You can begin brainstorming and just write down any ideas that come to mind. When thinking of what to write about, ask yourself: “What would I be interested in reading that I wouldn’t mind paying for?”. Usually a ‘How-to’ book is the best because people are always trying to learn how to do new things and get better at them.
2. Research
Once you have gotten the basic idea of what you want your E-Book to be about, start researching how you are going to go about it. Make sure that it is something that people will buy and you can even do a test run with associates to get their opinions. Find out what your competition is doing. If they are making money, their strategies must work… use it to your advantage and mimic their techniques without copying! Make sure that you still have something unique to offer.
3. Development
This is where you sit down at your desk and start writing. Decide exactly how you are going to structure your E-Book before you start writing; you don’t want to end up with a terribly unorganized mess of content.
If you aren’t a good writer; hire someone who is. There are many talented writers who can turn your product into something much more than what it would be if you had written it yourself. There are websites that you can find freelance writers who are looking for work. Make sure that all the content is original and you are not stealing anything from others.
4. Setting Up a Website
This in my opinion is very important. The website is the deal-closer. If your website can convert traffic into sales then that is excellent! So what you are going to want to do is take a look around. I am sure you’ve bought E-Books online before (especially if you are looking to make money online), so I know you’ve been to websites that just convinced you to buy their product. What did they do that made you pull out your credit card? What techniques did they use? This requires a little more research and you can see that many of them apply the same principles when it comes to selling their product!
5. Marketing
There are many ways to go about doing it, but using an affiliate network is probably the hands down choice when it comes to selling informational products on the internet! Once you have your product and your website ready, then you are ready to go! You will want to join an affiliate network if you haven’t already! Posting up your product can be done in minutes (usually takes 24-48hr to get verified) and you can have affiliates promoting your products to thousands (maybe even millions!). Remember to always offer your affiliates the highest possible commission. You won’t make as much per sale, but trust me you will make much more in the long run!
This is a system that is guaranteed to earn massive revenue; just make sure that you stick to the guidelines. Don’t try to sell something that no one wants, it will rarely work. Selling E-Books is for advanced marketers, but almost anyone can do it with the right knowledge. Learn, share and sell!
In the next issue I am going to be talking about selling services online. This is something that will take time/work and maybe even quite an investment, but it is worth it because there is a lot of money to be made.
