Smart Ways to Avoid Eating Too Much

A mini-guide maintenance can save you from unnecessary calories and teach you how to avoid «scrapes». There are few times when the food is not driven by hunger, but by a desire for a particular food or dessert. Many activities, such as monitoring television or engage in the computer, can cause profuse unconscious overeat, with the common result of regret and guiltiness. That is how disturbances in relation to food start. Although satiety centers located in the hypothalamus of the brain are known, a way for direct intervention at this level has not been found yet, so as to avoid excessive consumption. But although there is no way to master our minds as to their desire, we have to practice some tactics to mitigate that habit of ours. - Make small meals often, so at the lunch that follows does not appear a sense of hunger. - Avoid food consumption in front of the TV, computer and anything which distracts your attention. - Meals should be consumed slowly to the table and with the participation of other people. - Stop in the middle of your meal and then evaluate your desire to continue. - Leave the fork to your plate during lunch. - When on the table there are appetizers and other dishes outside the main dish, use a small plate and add what you want to eat. The consumption of other dishes does not allow you to have perception of quantity. - In the supermarket use a list of what you need and do not escape from it. Take as much money as you need to purchase the food that you scheduled. - When you come up against an over-caloric meal, count to 10 and again evaluate your desire to eat. If you still want it then take a little walk. If you still wish for it then it means that your desire is real, enjoy it without guilt. - Avoid having at home over-caloric food; instead fill it with fruit and vegetables. - Do not exclude foods from your diet; simply limit the quantity of them. - Drink plenty of water. - Exercise is the only way to keep your weight. |
