Smoky Mountain Crafters Every year, in October, there is a wonderful craft festival in Franklin, N.C. This craft festival always features, local, Appalachian crafters and artists, this will be the 10th annual festival. This year the fair will begin on October 16, 2008, and wrap up on October 18th, 2008. If you are out enjoying the beauty of the fall colors in or around Franklin, North Carolina you should make a point to visit the festival. There are unique creations at this festival you will never find anywhere else and the prices are extremely low for the quality of the crafts. Some of the crafts include, homemade jams and jellies, hand crafted furniture, holiday creations, unique pet gifts, photography and painters. No matter what your budget there will be something unique and affordable for you at this festival. The hours are from 10am to 5pm each day and the location of the festival is the Macon County Fairgrounds on 441 South in Franklin, NC
