It's my very first Qassia day and I'm snowed in with the very first real snow storm of the season. With an overwhelming urge to hibernate I'm dreaming of yummy, sugary, fat-filled comfort food. Looking through my grandmother's recipe box I come across a very old, well-worn and loved, yellowing and slightly greasy index card and a flood of memories comes pouring into my little kitchen. This is the PERFECT cookie for a day like today (and really ANY day!) SNICKER DOODLES! For those of you with a childhood deprived of this treat with the whacky and whimsical name, a snicker doodle is kind of a soft but crispy cinnamon and sugar cookie.
The following recipe is the very BEST traditional snicker doodle cookie I've ever tried (and man, I've tried a few!)
NANA'S SNICKER DOODLE RECIPE

Prepare 3 tablespoons sugar, and 3 teaspoons cinnamon in a small bowl.
Roll 1 inch balls of dough into the sugar/cinnamon mixture and coat.
