So You Want To Collect Art

The four (4) main reasons for collecting Art.

(1) To match furnishing. (Ok, One's place must look great.)

(2) Bare wall, need to fill it with the largest piece I can get. (Again, fair.)

(3) Art as a great investment. (Good, but Real Estate is a better investment. You can afford whatever art you want.)

(4) Art captures the Soul. (This is the only reason to buy, to collect Art. The Art must speak to you, enlighten, calm or bring a smile to your whole being.)

Of course, one still needs to decorate, to invest and just fill those empty spaces. Resources are available for selecting and acquiring art for you home or office. You could get a specialist - decorator, designer, or Home Depot.

Art is very personal, subjective. Art captures the Soul. More is going on than meets the eye. Art is a universal guide. A Soul catalyst. Art says alot about who lives here; what they feel; what is important; and where they are going.

Collect what captures you.
