With all the talk about energy costs, and availability, the time is here for many people interested in saving precious non-renewable resources to use this simple invention to dry clothes, instead of wasting energy using an electric or gas powered clothes dryer. One simply takes a piece of cord, or rope, and extends it between two points(poles work well) at a distance of around 10-15 feet, at about eye level.
Then the homemaker obtains some inexpensive clips, available at any grocery or dollar store, called "clothespins", and his/her financial investment is complete, and the clothes drying process is ready to start.
Once the clothes have been thoroughly washed, in either a conventional washing machine, or utilizing another of the authors inventions such as the "All Natural Creek Method of Energy Free Clothes Washing", the homemaker needs to make sure the excess water has been completely wrung, or squeezed from the clothes to be dried.
Then the clothes need to be clipped up on the line, at the top of each apparel item, so that they hang downwards and get the full effect of the solar rays that will be the workhorses to dry the clothing items clipped to the solar clothes dryer.
It is best to use this invention in the hottest part of the day, and it does not work after the sun sets, or at least it does not work very quickly. Also, if it rains when thee clothes are attached to the solar clothes dryer, it can be actually counter productive.
Once the clothes to be dried have been clipped up correctly, and the conditions outside have been checked to make sure they are acceptable as described above, the homemaker should go back to doing other chores, or simply relaxing, for it takes a little bit of time for the invention to work.
After about an hour, check the clothes by hand to see if moisture is found. If it is found, then come back at 30 minute intervals to keep check on the moisture levels. If the homemaker wants, he/she can remove those items of clothing that have dried quickly, and leave the stragglers that are taking longer, and as the clothes are continuously checked, take the dried items until all items are dried.
If everyone would start using this simple, but effective invention, not only would the world save a substantial amount in energy costs, but panty stealing perverts would be in seventh heaven!
