Soldiers Mother
I will pass on the advice that was given to me, while my youngest son was a Soldier in Iraq. Pray alot, don't spend time alone, keep your mind busy, joint support groups. The Best advice given to me came from a Retired Special Ops, he told me to STOP watching the news, and STOP reading the news paper.
Once I did all of the above, I started sleeping again and I stopped crying. People don't understand how hard it is on a Mother to have one of her child in harms way. That is why a support group is very important. I still belong to a couple of the support groups I joined on line. I have my son home now, but I still need their support dealing with his injuries.
You will make it through this. I hope the advice given to me helps another Mother stay stong until her child is home. |
