Songs Written by the Beatles - but Recorded by Others
Below is a list of songs I compiled when working on my Beatles website: Kerry's Beatles/Paul McCartney Site on MSN. It is a list of songs written by the Beatles (most Lennon/McCartney compositions), but they were not recorded by the Beatles. This song was performed by the Beatles in their unsuccessful Deca audition in 1962) "I Don't Want To See You Again" recorded by Peter & Gordon in August 1964. "I'll Be On My Way" recorded by Billy J. Kramer and the Dakotas in March of 1963. The Beatles performed this on a BBC radio show in the fall of 1962, but never recorded it. "I'll Keep You Satisfied" recorded by Billy J. Kramer and the Dakotas in July 1963. "I'm In Love" recorded by the Fourmost in October 1963. "It's For You" recorded by Cilla Black in 1964. "Like Dreamers Do" recored by the Applejacks in April 1964. This song was performed by the Beatles in their unsuccessful Deca audition in 1962. "Love of the Loved" recorded by Cilla Black in July 1963. The Beatles recorded an unreleased version in 1963. This song was performed by the Beatles in their unsuccessful Deca audition in 1962. "Nobody I Know" recorded by Peter & Gordon in April 1964. "One And One Is Two" recorded by Mike Shannon with the Strangers in March 1964. The Beatles recorded an unreleased version in 1964. This song never made the charts. "Sour Milk Sea" (This is a song by George - not Lennon/McCartney) recorded by Jackie Lomax in 1968. George Harrison also produced the session. "Step Inside Love" recorded by Cilla Black in 1968 as the theme for her BBC tv series. "That Means A Lot" recorded by P. J. Proby in 1965. "Thingumybob" recorded by the John Foster and Sons Ltd. Black Dyke Mills Band in 1968. Written as the theme song to the BBC series "Thingumybob". "Woman" recorded by Peter & Gordon in 1965. It was also recorded by Paul McCartney under the psydonym of Bernard Webb. "World Without Love" recorded by Peter & Gordon in 1964.
