Special Children's Nonprofit Reaching Out After 6 yrs of The Pocono Equestrian Center an all volunteer nonprofit 501(c)(3)organization working with and specializing in working with special needs children, financially stressed, physically, mentally and emotionally disabled. I am going to be honest. I am scared. I don't want to loose any of the animals because of feed and hay prices going up. We will have to start selling them if donations don't come in soon. It breaks my heart as well as the childrens because they have come to love these horses as their own. I hope something positive happens this week. We are so so tired of not having financial backing. We started other programs to help fund the therapeutic riding but winters are bad here. We even asked myspace people to donate $1 each and we will be out of the woods. Nothing happened. It is just incredible because we have made such incredible strides with every single child. 100% success rate with helping kids walk, talk, begin to verbalize, express themselves, bond with others, eye contact, self esteem, body movement and so much more. I could go on forever. It is sad. Thanks for listening.
