Alexander Day here, reporting to you about Success in Life. Success is not only something you want to achieve but something you yearn for, something you mind body and soul calls out for everyday. How bad do you want to be successful? Do you have what it takes to be successful? Are you willing to make sacrifices for your success? If you aren’t willing to make sacrifices for your success then I don’t think you want it bad enough. It’s your success and it starts with your dreams and your ambitions and nobody else is going to achieve it for you. It starts with your dreams, where do you see yourself in 10 years? What do you want to be doing everyday 15 years from now? What kind of house do you want to live in? Do you want a family? Two drop-tops and one suv or two suv’s and one drop-top? Do you want three boys and one girl or two girls and one boy? These are questions that get you thinking about your future and how you see yourself living the rest of your life. You want to have a clear vision of what you want for your life and you need to have dreams and goals you want to accomplish.
Your success is going to start with your dreams and aspirations. Having a dream is only the start but it is important to have a dream and have faith in accomplishing that dream. After knowing what you want for your life and what you want to accomplish, you need to work day in and day out to try an fulfill those dreams. Nobody is going to work to achieve your dreams for you, so you have to know your priorities and make plans to work on your dreams and execute those plans to the best of your ability. You need to figure out the what, the why, the when and the how before you delve into working hard at something. Hard work is the key to success but hard work without working in a certain direction is pointless.
What and the Why
Figuring out what is a matter of finding out what your purpose is on this earth. Ask yourself what your talents are, what are the things you are good at? What do you enjoy doing with your time? I always tell people that there is no way to figure out what your purpose is unless you ask your creator because only the creator of something can tell you what its purpose is. Everybody is unique and crafted purposefully the way they were and everything in your life was a learning experience you needed to strengthen you as a person. God is the creator of heaven and earth and he made you in his image. Everything we have access to in this world other than what comes off of the land is man-made, every building, every business, every car, every cell phone, even the Internet and many other things are some one man’s dream and also in many cases it’s a group of people’s dreams. The fact is that somebody believed it was there purpose and then sought to fulfill that dream. It is for you to know what is right for your life and along your journey to success you will learn many things and gain much experience. You have to make a decision as to what is right for you and you have to trust yourself and have faith that you will succeed with what you want to accomplish in life.
When and the How
Knowing when you need to accomplish your goals and how you are going to achieve those accomplishments is a matter of planning, executing said plans and being diligent and determined to achieve success. Many successful people before us have given us advice sounding like this, “Hold onto your dreams and go after them”, “Never give up and never stop chasing your dreams” or “Fight for what you want in life and never make anybody or anything come in between you and your dreams.” They stress the importance of going after your dreams but they have also said that even when they didn’t know how they were going to achieve their own dreams they still fought to get it done any which way they could. It’s a fact that knowing exactly how you are going to achieve your dreams is not the most important point, its about knowing that you want it bad enough and are willing to work to make it happen, that’s what is extremely important. While working to make your dreams come true you will experience ups and downs and you are going to have to get back up every time you fall down and brush yourself off and keep going. Every notch on the road to success is going to be an experience for you and through these experiences you will begin to see just how you will accomplish your dreams. Along your journey to success you must set goals (short-term and long-term goals) and work to accomplish those goals and always strive to achieve excellence in life and you will succeed.
Encourage yourself to become like a life sponge, absorbing and learning from every single experience you have in life because every experience really is a learning experience anyway. Whether good or bad, something can still be learned from any experience in life. Every step of the way on your journey to success you should be continuously learning. Take advantage of the many books and all the information you can find online and soak up as much knowledge as possible. I really encourage reading, as reading stimulates mental growth and builds your capacity for learning as you read.
Your success is solely up to you. It’s in your hands and only you can write your success story. Will your success story encourage somebody else to be successful? Learn to live in success, be successful and empower others through your success.
